IT Analyst I
Your Opportunity:
The Pharmacy Alberta analyst role reports to the Manager of Information, Performance & Outcomes in Acute Care Alberta and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of custom website applications, databases and surveys that meet the operational and business needs of pharmacy services and organizational partners. Working closely with Pharmacy Alberta partners, the incumbent translates business requirements into scalable technology solutions, develops secure and reliable applications, creates dashboards to assist with understanding the data and provides ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Key responsibilities for this role include: collaborating with partners to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements; design and develop custom applications, databases, and system solutions to address operational and information management needs; evaluate user requirements and recommend appropriate technologies, system architecture, functionality and best practices; develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and database solutions; create and maintain technical documentation and system specifications; perform system testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and quality assurance activities; implement enhancements, fixes, and new functionality based on user feedback and evolving business needs; build surveys to assist partners with required information.

Completion of a diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 2 years of experience in designing relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server). Working knowledge and at least 2 years of experience in variety of programming and development tools on the Microsoft platform (HTML, JavaScript, VB, ASP, ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio). Strong software design and development skills. Experience developing and supporting custom applications. Proficiency with application development methodologies and database design. Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and deployment. Experience working with web-based applications. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications:Healthcare experience is considered an asset. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Server administration, configuration, setup, and deployment (Windows Server, IIS, application hosting, and related infrastructure) is considered an asset. Experience with Azure Dev Ops is preferred.
