Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:You are either an RPN who is active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) or an RN who is active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Minimum (5) years’ experience in Addiction and Mental Health with preference for previous experience on an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit. Knowledgeable in Addiction and Mental Health processes. Proficient computer skills (including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Word). Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Non-Violent Crisis Intervention & Mental Health First Aid. Min of five (5) years nursing care/education in Addiction and Mental Health, preferably on an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit. Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing. Previous experience with quality/process improvement initiatives or committees. Previous experience as an instructor in a health care field. Experience with data collection and analysis. Previous training as a Connect Care Superuser.
