Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled, team-oriented, and responsible Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Residential Addictions teams at the Northern Addictions Centre. Reporting to the Supervisor of the NAC Treatment Team, and the AHN (Assistant Head Nurse) in Detox, the incumbent’s primary duties include pre-admission screening and client admissions for the Residential Treatment Program, medication management, collaborating on and monitoring care plans to manage acute and chronic health issues during the treatment stay, withdrawal management, discharge planning, and liaising with referral and other care partners in the community.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years LPN experience. Two (2) years A&MH (Addiction & Mental Health) experience. Connect Care experience.
