Your Opportunity:

We are looking for casual Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with experience in patient-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-based care to join the Medicine Hat Recovery Centre Team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. There is also the opportunity to work at the Medicine Hat ODP/NTS clinic as well. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions within the knowledge and scope of practice of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. Reporting to the Manager of the Medicine Hat Recovery Centre, the LPN works as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provides recovery-oriented services to clients struggling with complex addiction issues. The LPN has skills in risk assessments, completing assessments and screenings for clients to determine eligibility to the facility as well as, physical and mental health stability, treatment planning and monitoring of clients physical and addiction/mental health issues. The LPN is required to work collaboratively with community agencies, pharmacies, physicians and psychiatrists. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
