Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Evidenced strong practical working ability to integrate various evidence-based paradigms into clinical practice (screening, crisis intervention, assessment, case formulation and treatment plan based on at least two evidence-based theories (not frameworks), direct counselling, and consultation). Knowledge of the addiction and mental health resources within Recovery Alberta - South Zone and the populations served, is essential. Candidates should have at least three years of direct clinical counseling experience in addiction and mental health as a clinician. Current registration with one of the following regulatory colleges is required: ACOT, ACSW, CAP, CRNA, or CRPNA. Three years’ experience in in the field of Addictions and Mental Health or equivalent services required, with five years related services preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with Connect Care. Non-violent crisis intervention and suicide intervention training.
