The Tertiary and Rehabilitation mental health relief team is a part of the Recovery Alberta portfolio in the Edmonton Zone, specifically at Alberta Hospital Edmonton. These units support individuals requiring stabilization and/or intensive rehabilitative support to enhance community readiness. These clients will have differing levels of intellectual disability We provide person-centered care, with all team members working within the CoACT collaborative care model. You would be reporting to the Central Services Manager while working on Tertiary and Rehabilitation units onsite (8 Building).

Description:

As a Psychiatric Aide, you will work as a collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team to meet the personal care needs and comforts of patients in accordance with the patient care plan and facility policies and procedures. You will assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs as well as assist with organized activities or programs. In this position, you will observe and report on a patients mood, health, well-being, maintain effective communication with patients and health professionals, assist with the maintenance of a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors as well as assist in the general support of the work area.
