Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent experience in Addictions and Mental Health. Sound observation and strong verbal communication skills. Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in an Acute Psychiatry setting. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in daily schedule and patient needs. Working knowledge of person-centered care principles is important. Active or Eligible Registration with CRNA College of Registered Nurses of Alberta or CRPNA College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta.
Preferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of the CoACT model of care. Working knowledge of trauma informed care.
