The team will provide evidence-based stabilization and recovery-oriented care for adults requiring medical withdrawal management and acute psychiatric stabilization. As a Social Worker II, you will advocate for patient rights and dignity while navigating complex social and health systems and play a vital role in supporting patients and families through assessment, care planning, and discharge. This will include crisis intervention, counselling, assessment and referrals. Description:
As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations in an addiction and mental health capacity. Strong understanding of trauma informed care and recovery orientated practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries. Ability to build and maintain strong community partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of addiction and recovery principles and trauma informed care. Experience working with law enforcement agencies.
