Social Worker II - Emerging Adult Treatment Clinic
Your Opportunity:
Reporting the Program Manager of the Emerging Adult Service, the Social Worker II will be part of the interdisciplinary teams supporting individuals experiencing mental health and substance use concerns within the Emerging Adult Treatment Clinic. The SWII services may include Addictions Counseling, case management, psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, risk screening, counselling, transition planning, promotion and prevention as well as public awareness. This position will deliver group therapy. This position will work closely with interdisciplinary team members and community agencies. The incumbents must be able to work independently with a high degree of judgement and must be able to work effectively as part of an interprofessional team and commit to strengthening team dynamics by actively facilitating interprofessional collaboration to enhance this population’s outcomes. This temporary grant-funded position is assigned to the Emerging Adult Service at Emerging Adult Treatment Clinic but can be re-assigned based on operational need.

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years experience working within a mental health and addictions setting. Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Suicide Risk Assessment training. Demonstrated knowledge of resources and supports in the Calgary Corridor for Emerging Adults and their families. Experience delivering group required. Experience delivering Group therapy required.
Preferred Qualifications:Brain Story Certification. Collaborative Problem Solving training. Addictions counsellor experience.
